Role Value Proposition:
As an Employee Benefits Retention Business Development Manager, you'll focus on maximizing the value of our Group Life and Group Income Protection schemes. Reporting to the Deputy National Sales Manager, you'll drive customer retention and portfolio growth, collaborating with various teams to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Increase portfolio growth by 15% through key broker relationships.
- Develop strong relationships with brokers and end-client decision-makers.
- Manage policy lifecycles and negotiate rate reviews to drive retention.
- Identify and address at-risk schemes, working to retain them.
- Update our CRM system with competitor feedback to support pricing strategies.
- Manage onboarding and promote value-added services for schemes over £100k.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure excellent service within agreed timelines.
- Present Proactive Data Reports for schemes £250k+ to brokers and clients.
- Implement processes to manage outstanding cash effectively.
- Share thought leadership and marketing campaigns with brokers and clients.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Proven track record in Business Development within a Client and/or Broker environment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Experience in providing high-quality customer service to brokers and end clients
- Expertise in working with Marketing and "Value Add Service" providers to drive client engagement
- Strong commercial and strategic mindset
- Expert knowledge and skills relevant to all aspects of the job
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Ownership and personal responsibility for timely, high-quality work
