The regional investment team oversees and manages insurance asset management activities in Asia ex-Japan countries MetLife operates in.

Other Key Stakeholders:   Regional and country investment teams, business partners such as regional and global finance and risk management teams, as well as MIM and MIAL investment desks etc.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate supports the regional investment management team with a focus on finding solutions through quantitative approach for MetLife General Account portfolios in Asia ex-Japan.

• Provide quantitative modeling and analysis in support of strategic asset allocation and tactical allocation that help achieve strategic goals in earnings and growth under company’s risk appetite; optimization model maintenance.
• Build testing and analytical tools to enhance portfolio decision-making on risk management solutions.
• Assist specific country teams in day-to-day investment operation and oversight.
• Support regional level management reporting needs and help drive process automation.
• Support asset allocation process in the new business/product pricing.
• Lead the change projects for the regional team in solvency regimes, accounting rules and other regulations as they relate to portfolio strategy.
• Other tasks and duties assigned by the manager.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong quantitative background; high comfort level with numbers and coding experience strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in asset-liability management, risk management or asset allocation in insurance industry.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, prioritization, and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation to build partnerships.
• Knowledge of investments markets in the region is a plus.
