Location - 200 Park Avenue, New York City, or Bridgewater, NJ MetLife office.

Hybrid - 3 days in (Monday - Wednesday) & 2 days remote (Thursday & Friday)



The Team You Will Join 
MetLife is seeking a Business Procedures Consultant to join our Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS), Annuities team. 
 
The Opportunity 
This role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining standardized procedures and best practices across various business areas within RIS Annuities. Additionally, the role involves coordinating various projects, supporting highly visible AI and other technology initiatives, and overseeing the delivery of all new provisions and enhancements that must be developed and implemented to ensure our administrative commitments to our customers are fulfilled.
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
  • Collaborate with IT, Ops, and partners to gather case-specific requirements to support the acquisition of new PRT deals and other lines of business to ensure successful onboarding. The role will be specifically responsible for ensuring all requirements are timely implemented as envisioned during initial planning.
  • Manage the workflow for new provisions and enhancements that must be coded and implemented on our system of record to ensure automated processing and accurate payments to our customers.
  • Support implementation of new technology enhancements across the Annuities business and other areas of RIS, including but not limited to new AI solutions and other in-house tools.
  • Analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Provide support in developing materials, reports, presentations, and messaging for all Annuity business meetings.
  • Foster engagement, recognition ideas, and other social activities for RIS Annuities.
  • Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned or required. 
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or a related field, highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in process improvement, project management, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
 What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)
  • Experience in the financial services or insurance industry. 
  • Subject matter expertise within retirement, pensions, annuity, or other insurance products
  • Certification in project management or process improvement methodologies (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma).

The expected salary range for this position is 71,600 - 95,500. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.  All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
